In this area we receive and store the governors. Each overhaul job gets its own ticket number corresponding to the work order while providing details such as customer name, order number, part and serial number and work scope.
The governor will be pre tested to check all settings like speed setting, limiter-, speed switch-, and shutdown adjustments. All application related adjustments will be re adjusted after the overhaul making it ready for your application.
In this area the governor will be completely disassembled. During the disassembly “always replaced parts” like bearings, o-rings, gaskets, etc. will be separated from the rest.
In our cleaning area all parts will be cleaned, paint stripped and if necessary de-rusted. Following special procedures, all parts will be carefully cleaned but will not be damaged by means of corrosion or deposit.
After cleaning, all parts will be inspected on wear. All worn parts will be replaced by genuine parts from Woodward. All “always replaced parts” will be replaced as well.
In our assembly area all cleaned and new parts will come together and the governor will be assembled by our specially trained technicians. The assembly area is consisted of special work stations for every specific governor like PG- and UG- stations. All equipment and tooling used to assemble the governors is developed to meet the high standards required by Woodward.
Following the assembly of the governor comes the testing. We check the functionality and make all necessary adjustments following the manufacturers test protocol for the specific governor. Some governors will be adjusted according to the customer requirements.
After the test and adjustment procedure the governor will be decreased, pre treated and paint sprayed. Governors will be paint sprayed in the governor manufacturers color.
Before packing all governors will be checked on possible inferiorities and completeness like decals, protection caps and customer belongings like levers, tubing, connectors, etc.
The governor will be packed in a custom-made box.. The boxes and inlays are especially developed for each different governor to give it full protection during transportation worldwide.
The governor is now ready to ship wherever our customer want us to send it, or it can be hand carried by one of our service engineer to mount it on the application and make the final adjustments.
