MAS has engineered an impressive number of new and retrofit projects in that sector. All such systems offer extensive features like close transition, peak shaving and power managing logic. All backup plants that MAS designs have the capability to synchronize with the grid and transfer power to and from the generators without interruption of the loads. Complex synchronization schemes can be implemented to accommodate multiple transformers and / or power sectors.

Complex algorithms ensure the flow of power in critical processes even in the event of malfunction (ex. automatic fault handling scenarios).
Special functionally is also delivered in most backup plants which have the ability to work in peak-shaving mode and in effect lessen the electric bill and/or have more power available than the agreed power from the utility. Another available function of MAS system is the ability of “hot-Standby” which in effect runs the backup plant in parallel with the grid but without load. This is used in emergency situations when even if the grid fails there will be no power loss.
