Leonidas Zaimis, CEO, MAS SA attended the prominent working luncheon with Francis R. Fannon, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Energy Resources, U.S Department of State and Geoffreey Pyatt, US Ambassador to Greece, which was held in Athens on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Attendees, including AmCham Energy Committee members and senior officers of the US Embassy Athens, participated in a productive discussion about energy security issues and exchanged opinions regarding the current developments in the energy sector. Assistant Secretary F. Fannon stated that his second visit to Greece signifies the key role of Greece’s upgraded position as an energy hub in the region.
Participants also considered possible business opportunities for US companies to invest and transfer their competence and experience in order for Greece to transform into an important energy hub, leading not only to traditional energy production and distribution but also to innovative energy products or services.
